FAQs
Is it all sourdough?
For the most part, yes! Most of our baked goods include the “starter”, that is the living yeast that we use to leaven our products. There isn't the traditional sourdough “tang” you may have experienced from store-bought sourdough as they commonly add vinegar (we do not!). What you'll enjoy is a pleasant, flavorful bread the way people enjoyed it for hundreds of years.
Do you offer gluten free products?
Nope! Not our skill set, and we find that a true celiac really shouldn't set foot in our store if they want to avoid irritants. However, sourdough is naturally gut healthy and many customers report that our bread is the only bread their bodies tolerate!
Do you do bagels or donuts?
No, as our facility is not equipped to boil/fry.
Can I reserve a loaf by calling or messaging ahead of time?
Nope! Good ol’ first come, first serve. Our product is in high demand. We do not have a phone (nor do we plan on getting one). We bake between 36-64 loaves each open day, and we bake throughout the day as our oven holds 12. To give you a fresh loaf of bread, the predictably is old fashioned and up to the Lord. We'd love to see you and offer what's available!
Why aren't you open earlier?
We understand the need for goodies early before a workday, but our families still need us in those wee hours. Should any bread be left after close, we feature an honor system shelf (cash or venmo) outside the shop until 7 PM for your convenience.
